This policy covers the InternSaathi website (internsaathi.in) and the InternSaathi Android app (package in.internsaathi.app). InternSaathi is a brand of Decent Web Services LLP, LLPIN AAQ-8411, Basement, AT Tower, Juran Chapra Main Road, Muzaffarpur, Bihar 842001 ("we", "us"). We run internship programmes for college students. By using the website or the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Details you enter: name, mobile number, email address, address, date of birth, gender, college, course, semester, roll number, registration number, ABC ID, internship field and domain, and your password (stored only in hashed form).
Files you upload: your college consent letter (PDF or image), if you choose to upload it.
Internship activity: lessons you mark complete, your daily work diary (date, hours, work done), your payment status and the documents issued to you.
Payment details: the UPI transaction reference (UTR) you enter, and the payment status sent back by our payment partner. We never see or store your card, net banking or UPI PIN details.
Questions to AI Saathi: the text you type in the AI Saathi assistant, so that it can answer you.
Device information (app only): a push-notification token for your device, so that we can send you notices. The app also keeps your login and a cache of your screens on your own phone.
Staff and partner accounts: the same contact details and the activity needed to run the account (students registered, fees collected, wallet entries).

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. The app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics.

How we use it

To register you, run your internship and issue the Acceptance / Offer Letter, work diary and Completion Certificate.
To process and confirm your fee payment.
To send you notices about your internship (fee received, approval, certificate ready, diary reminder) by push notification, SMS, WhatsApp, phone or email.
To let your college verify your internship. The public certificate verification page shows only your name, college, a masked roll number and internship status.
To answer your questions, prevent misuse and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with:

Your college, when it asks to verify your internship.
Our payment partner, to take an online payment.
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, to deliver push notifications to the app (your device token and the notice text).
Our AI service provider, which receives the question you type in AI Saathi so that it can reply.
Government or legal authorities, when the law requires it.

Security

All traffic between the app or website and our server uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed. App login tokens are stored hashed on the server and can be removed by logging out. Access to student data is limited to our team, your partner and your college. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your records while your account is active and afterwards for as long as colleges may need to verify your letters and certificate. Work diary entries and documents are kept for the same reason. Push tokens are removed when you log out.

Your choices: access, correction and deletion

You can see and correct most of your details by contacting us. You can change your password in the app (Menu > Password) or on the website.
You can turn off notifications from your phone's app settings.
To ask for a copy of your data, correction, or deletion of your account and data, email us at info@internsaathi.in or WhatsApp +91 98350 69919 / +91 79924 12353 from your registered mobile number, with your application number. We reply within 7 working days. Records tied to letters or certificates that are already issued may be kept in a limited form so that colleges can still verify them, as explained above.

Children

The service is meant for college students. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For the refund and terms of the programme see our Terms & Refund Policy.
